Marianne Cosgrove Obituary

Marianne L. “Marney” Cosgrove, 81, of West Mifflin, was born in Homestead, June 26, 1939 to Ernest and Elizabeth (Luke) Lucas. She graduated from Homestead High School in 1957 and married Roger Cosgrove on May 10, 1958. She worked as an administrative secretary at Bettis Laboratories, McKeesport Hospital, and the University of Pittsburgh. She was an avid reader, loved crafting, and had a quick and clever wit; all of which she imparted to her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Roger L. Cosgrove who passed away in October 2020. Marney is survived by daughters, Tracy DeCarlo and Kelly Linn; granddaughter, Leeanne (Benjamin) Carlucci and grandson, William Smollen with whom she had a special bond.

Marney passed away peacefully knowing that her family loved her, and in her words, she will always be “a constant source of amusement.”
